Reg Andrews most recently served as Visitation Pastor at The Peoples Church, Toronto. Over the past decade and beyond, Reg has felt led to highlight the need within the church of Christ to return to the fundamentals of Christian life and doctrine, both in the practices of the church at large and as they are lived out in the life of the individual disciple of Christ.
In 2008 he wrote Timber: A Call to Personal and Corporate Renewal in which he takes the reader to various strategic mountain settings in Scripture. The springboard biblical text is Haggai 1: 8, "Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build the house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honoured," says the Lord. The premise he builds on is the idea that as we explore those mountains we may discover ways to strengthen today's temple which is made up of you and me, today's body of believers.
The late Dr. John Moore said of Timber, "Reg Andrews has written a very challenging and compelling book that should kindle the desire and passion of every believer to see God manifestly at work in the church today."
His second book, The Final Word: An Alert to the Body of Christ, is written with a greater intensity. It focuses on the absolutely critical mandate of the church in communicating the gospel of salvation to a dying world. Dr. John D. Hull, writing the foreword to The Final Word, says "The Final Word: An Alert to the Body of Christ is an appeal to Christ-followers everywhere, in the midst of the world’s accelerating secular slide, to embrace the core essentials of the historic Christian faith."
Building on a rich Christian heritage and from a trans denominational perspective, Reg Andrews offers a review of the central teachings of the Christian gospel and calls all evangelical believers to an unwavering commitment to those core essentials.
His desire is to see a reigniting of Holy Spirit fire across denominational boundaries – a fire that will propel the church towards widespread renewal, bringing many into true discipleship before the second coming of Jesus Christ.
Reg is married to Brenda who is a strong and gifted ministry companion. They have two adult sons, and are the proud grandparents of seven grandchildren, all of whom are already, or almost, young adults.
